Pokemon: Not sure if offended or proud because Mewtwo.
Welcome to the Friend Zone, I am your tour guide today.
If you look to your left, you will see the Waterfall of Tears. These are the tears shed every day, by boys across the world. Do not drink the tears, because, in large amounts, they taste like salt water. This waterfall is our main source of income, as we sell these tears to witches interested in using children's tears in a potion. Remember this, it will be on the test.
If you look on your brochure, you'll see the amount of people who've escaped the Friend Zone permanently. Can't find it? Exactly.
On your right, you'll see our cardiologist, eating in the dining room located next to the generic-outdoor-place-to-play. I'll go ahead and tell you, although there's always an idiot or two who ignores me: No, he cannot fix broken hearts. He told me to warn you that the first... let's go with idiot, the first idiot who asks him to fix their broken heart will die from a heart attack.
Oh, we're arriving. Now, your sleeping areas are separated into male and female dormitories. You cannot be in the other genders' dormitory after dark, because the last thing we need is for everyone to be having nonstop sex. If you're homosexual, we ask that you refrain from nonstop sex. And if any of you masturbate, please clean it up; we don't want to.
This will conclude your tour of the Friend Zone.
A wall of text explaining why tanks don't fare well in Gauntlets:
The issue about tanks in Gauntlets is; they can happily mow down an army of regular units in regular gameplay. If their speed is on the low side, the enemies are generally wielding ridiculously heavy weapons anyways, putting them at nearly 0 speed. And your tank can probably just knock out any threat in a single blow anyways. In the arena, that's not true. In the arena, your enemy will happily pull out some silver weapons, and use them. The weapon triangle will only help slightly. That one point of damage isn't too important when the enemy is critting your for 60 in a single blow. Your defense may be high, but the enemy isn't limited by such paltry things like "caps." You see, the people in the arena are just various incarnations of Marcus. Marcus is not limited by stat caps, he just chooses to hold back to give the enemy a chance. However, in the arena, he lessens his restraint. He gives you but one concession: That he doesn't just pull out his wang and end your life. And he is not merciless, he lets you run. Of course, since when can tanks run? If Marcus wanted, he could chase you, but he feels bad for you, tank, who made the mistake of entering his vacation home.

So, uh, yeah. Life has me literally swamped. Between being a staff member on Pokemon Showdown!, schoolwork, and sleep that doesn't actually leave me rested, I literally don't have an iota of spare time these days. In fact, I'm currently meant to be doing an assignment in Spanish, but figured I'd actually say goodbye before I didn't have the chance. So, uh, Sqawl, you know what to do with Flane, although I'm sorry it's much earlier than you planned so I don't mind if he just disappears, and Blaise can just disappear for all I care because I did a bad job being him anyways. xD Vancy, I order you to change your username to Vancy hope you mellow out eventually, although I suppose we wouldn't have really been friends if you were mellower, so ignore what I say. I dunno. Try out LC while you can abuse Berry Juice or something. Cev, sorry your RPs never worked out, and I kinda feel bad for never being interested in them. Aura, keep killing Ests for me, and thanks for wasting $26.95 of my money. Sol, I'm sorry but I'm out of seriousness just as I get to you because I'm not good at being sad so I can't do it for long. Have you tried Goomy Clicker? Aznor, it was nice meeting a Canadian quite like you, and the same to Generic Username. I think. At least we'll always have matching awards. Kiro, keep loling. Dess, thanks for making this site, nigga. If I forgot anyone, sorry about that, I really am on a time constraint and I have to g-
So, by a 10-3-0 vote, FE8 beat out FE7 and FE6 respectively. So, we're dubbing FE8.
So, I'll just start this with some possible FAQs.
How do I get the audio to you?: Uploading to a site like MediaFire is greatly preferred. Skype is also an option, although MediaFire is better. If necessary, you can' e-mail it to me.
What do I need?: A microphone really helps with recording your voice, or so I've heard. Also, you can't have background noise; I can't edit that out. Most of the editing on my part is being done in Windows Movie Maker; it's up to you to make the quality voice recordings.
How many people can I be? Honestly, as many as you want within reason. I mean, Serenes is dubbing FE9 and they're severely lacking in people. As long as, for example, Dess isn't the whole cast by using various accents, then I won't limit his person count. I think five is a reasonable max.
Also, I'm going to handle generic people differently. Instead of auditioning for an individual generic dude(tte), I'm going to divide them into sets. For example, if Kiroshima auditions for "Set 1", he preforms all of the voices in the set. This should save time on auditions so that we don't have to wait for someone who absolutely has to be Zewaga or whatever the fluff.
A couple things before auditions start. As in, I want to say this while I finish typing up audition lines.
1. Naming the recording: If Vansalon just sends me a .mp3 file titled "Ephiraim", without his name on it, and Jimmy also auditions with "Ephiraim" as the file name, I have no idea what I'm doing. So, when you send your file, have it named (TEB Username) - (Character). For example, "Cero - Rennac". 2. We're gonna need some chicks. Seeing as Boney, Dess, and Sol weren't girls like I thought when I joined, we have nearly no girls on TEB to my knowledge. My knowledge being: Girls: Cedar Guys: Everyone but Cedar So, yeah. We're probably gonna start with some male only scenes, unless Cedar auditions and gets the part of the entire female cast, despite me having said I wouldn't allow that..
TEB is awesome. We have kind, intelligent members, mods who swing the banhammer less than a fighter in a room full of myrmidons, an active RP section, its own forum game in Forum Emblem, Eventiel, writing, spriting, and mapping contests; I'm surprised we don't have ten times our membership. But school is picking up, which is making us less active, sadly. So I want to dub an FE game. This dub will, at least aim to, pierce the cliques forming, if not already formed, on here. I want Slifer being the dragon if we do FE7. I want Sqawl being Formortiis or however the heck you spell that if we do FE8. I want Nih to lofe being a bandit in FE6. Note: I'm not biased on having people play those parts; they have to try out too, I'm just going off what I know of their personalities This dub is meant to transcend the petty cliques and things people may say within those cliques. This is TEB, a fourm of kindness; why should it be within certain groups? I may be an idealistic idiot, but by gosh, I have ideals.
Even looking away from the community familiarity I'm trying to foster, there's the fact that this would not only boost activity, but make TEB more popular and bring more people into our family.
I want to know which game we would be dubbing, because there is no way on Magvel/Elibe that I am writing up audition lines for all three games. That'd be suicide on a silver platter made of the tears of orphans.
Drafting: 1. This draft is for 5 players. 2. Hector, Marcus, Merlinus, Ninian/Nils, and Athos are free for all to use. 3. Bartre and Karla are drafted as a pair. 4. Geitz and Wallace will remain undrafted. 5. Marcus is banned after Chapter 16. 6. The game will be played on Hector Normal Mode, skipping Lyn Mode.
Rules: 1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, rescue undrafted units and NPCs, trade, visit Shops and Armories, and dig up items in the desert. 2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to meatshielding, building Supports, opening Doors or Chests, talking to Fargus in Chapter 17x, or Seizing Castles in Chapter 25. 3. All Gaiden Chapters except 19xx, 23x and 28x are required to be visited. 23x and 28x may be visited at the player's discretion, and don't count towards the total turncount up to 20 turns taken per chapter. My addition: If you don't visit the Gaiden chapters (except 19xx, 23x, or 28x) you incur an extra fifty turns added to your total turn count, per skipped Gaiden chapter. 4. Other units may do as they please without penalty. 5. Defend chapters count the last played Player Phase for turns if the timer is waited out.
Penalties: 1. Undrafted units have a 4 turn penalty, per unit per chapter.
Exceptions: 1. Matthew is free for Chapter 11. 2. Meatshielding is allowed for Chapter 13x. 3. Lyn, Kent, Sain and Wil are free for Chapter 16. 4. Undrafted Thieves may be used to obtain necessary Promotion items.
What would be the interest in doing one of these? I've never done one before, but they seem interesting.
Okay, so I was trying to insert MK404's FE10 fighter sprite (major props to him, by the way. It's epic.) to replace the GBA Fighter animation. I inserted the .dmp file, and it went in fine. Except, as far as I could tell, it changed the handaxe and unarmed animations, too, despite me not having inserted anything into those spots. Any clarification would be nice, as I'm scared to break something xD
